Ingredients:
- 1 pound medium pasta (such as penne)
- ¼ cup butter
- 6 cloves garlic (coarsely chopped, more or less to taste)
- 1 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- salt and black pepper (to taste )
- chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional) {
Instructions:
- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water until tender.
- Meanwhile, melt butter over medium-low heat in a 10" skillet. Whisk in garlic and flour and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Quickly add heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer until heated and slightly thickened, 3-5 minutes.
- Drain pasta but do not rinse. Add to the cream mixture.
- Stir in parmesan cheese and season with salt & pepper to taste.
